State police at the Frackville barracks said they cited two persons after altercations between 9:50-10 p.m. Aug. 27 in the 200 block of east Main Street in Girardville.

Tyrone E. Bruton, 43, was issued a citation for harassment and a 17-year-old boy was charged with criminal mischief. Both are from Girardville.Police said Bruton became involved in an argument with Melanie A. Victor, 43, also of Girardville, during which time he struck the woman in the face, causing swelling and redness.After the altercation, the 17-year-old arrived at the scene and became involved in an argument with Bruton, during which time a window was smaashed at the residence resulting in the charge against the boy.
