The blanket ministry team at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tamaqua is taking a break after donating over 100 handmade and barely used blankets. The blankets were sent to recent flood areas as well as to charities and shut-ins in the Tamaqua area. Members of the blanket ministry are, seated, from left, Velma Mantz and Shirley Becker; and standing, Jean Derr, Gail Jones, Beverly Batman, Judy Brennan, Sharon Haldeman, Marion Klein and Carol Dietrich.
