Helen (Zankofski) Cheslock, a resident at Heritage Hill Senior Community in Weatherly, will be celebrating her 93rd birthday on Saturday.

Born in Hazleton in Oct. 29, 1918, Helen was married to her husband Richard for 35 years, until his passing in 1976.Helen and her husband had two children: Richard Cheslock, who resides in Virginia, and Francella Hamecs, who resides in New Jersey.Helen has three grandchildren, Lynn, Bryan, and Daniel; and two great-grandsons, Eric and George.She also has two sisters who reside in West Hazleton: Mary, who is 91 years old, and Ann, who is 95.Helen was a member and office treasurer at St. Theresa's Transfiguration church in West Hazleton.Her hobbies include baking, cooking, and bowling.She has traveled to London, England and to Rome, Italy.
