Four area residents were among 22 who placed into Schuylkill County's Accelerated Rehabilative Disposition(ARD) probation program for first time offenders. He were recommended by District Attorney James P. Goodman.

Senior Judge D. Michael Stine admitted them into the program and if they complete the conditions he imposed then their record will be wiped clean.

All were placed for a year.

James John Barron, 63, of 521 Franklin Avenue, Tamaqua, on a charge of terroristic threat was assessed $350 for the cost of program, pay $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account (CJEA), and perform 10 hours community service. Barron was cited by West Penn Township Patrolman Dale Osenbach, following incident on property of Harry and Shirley Barron, 13312 Clamtown Road.

Thomas Charles Rowlands, 62, Wildcat Mountain Road, Walker Township, on a driving under the influence (DUI) charge was assessed $500, pay $100 to Substance Abuse Education (SAE) fund, $50 to CJEA, $25 to EMS, attend alcohol highway safe driving school, perform 10 hours community service and driver's license suspended 30 days. On a summary charge of improper headlights was fined $25 plus $50 costs. Rowlands was cited by Tamaqua Patrolman Thomas Duarte.

Desiree M. Trudich, 33, of 562 Pine Creek Drive, Tamaqua, on a charge of retail theft was assessed $350, and pay $50 to CJEA. Trudich was cited by Tamaqua Patrolman Thomas Rodgers, for taking two DVDs from Family Dollar Store.

Lewis William Frye, of 32 W. Water St., Coaldale, on a charge of simple assault was assessed $350, pay $50 to CJEA and perform 10 hours of community service. Frye was cited by Coaldale Criminal Investigator Todd Weiss, for assaulting Kathleen Marcy, same address.

Thomas Peter Jacobs, 59, Silver Springs, Md., on a charge of DUI, assessed $500, pay $300 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA, $25 to EMS, complete safety school, perform 10 hours community service and driver's license suspended 60 days. Jacobs was cited by Trooper Joseph Aponick when stopped on Pattersonville Hill in Union Township.

Rosaire Noreen Miller, 53, Lost Creek, West Mahanoy Township, on a charge of retail theft was assessed $350, pay $50 to CJEA, perform 10 hours community service and make restitution of $1,233.86 to Kmart Store, Schuylkill Mall. Miller was cited by New Castle Township Patrolman Ronald E. Romanchik.

Carol A. Pukas, Minersville, on a charge of DUI was assessed $500, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA, $25 to EMS, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, complete safety school, perform 10 hours community service and driver's license suspended 30 days. Pukas was cited by Port Carbon Chief Jon J. Bowman.

Brad Ronald Miller, 18, Hegins, on a charge of fleeing police and recklessly endangering police officers was assessed $350, pay $50 to CJEA, and perform 20 hours of community service. Miller was cited by Hegins Township Patrolman Christopher Cruz.

James Leonard Boland, 46, Orwigsburg, on a charge of DUI was assessed $500, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA, $25 to EMS, $180 to Schuylkill Medical Center, complete safety school, perform 10 hours community service and driver's license suspended 30 days. Victoria Joan McMillen, 23, Tower City, on charges of endangering the welfare of a child and recklessly endangering another person was assessed $350, pay $50 to CJEA, and perform 10 hours community service. McMillen was cited by Trooper Joel Zimmernan.

James Lee Douthat, 42, Macanaqua, Luzerne County, on a charge of DUI was assessed $500, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, $25 to EMS, attend safety school, perform 10 hours community service and driver's license suspended 30 days. Donna Lea Krause, 44, Schuylkill Haven, on a charge of theft, receiving stolen property and theft by failure to make required disposition of funds was assessed $350, pay $50 to CJEA and perform 10 hours community service. Vicki L. Beury, 42, Mahanoy City, on a charge of DUI assessed $500, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA, $60 to Schuylkill Medical Center, $25 to EMS, complete safety school and undergo outpatient mental health counseling, perform 10 hours community service and driver's license suspended 60 days. On summary charges of driving without a license was fined $200 and careless driving fined $25 plus $100 costs. Beury was cited by Saint Clair Patrolman Frank DiMarco.

Jennifer L. Principato, 28, Schuylkill Haven, on a charge of altering the license plate on her car was assessed $350, pay $50 to CJEA, perform 10 hours community service and on a charge of not having car insurance was fined $300 plus $50 costs.
