Tamaqua police cited two women following a Saturday altercation, Oct. 8, at a pub on East Union Street.

Rachel Bales, 26, of 12 Market St., Tamaqua, told officers she had been at the pub at 11 p.m., dining with Timothy Stahl, 39, of 324 E. Union St., Tamaqua.

According to Bales, Stahl's estranged wife, Angela, 40, of 229 Orwigsburg St., Tamaqua, entered the bar and confronted the duo.

Bales told officers that Angela grabbed her by the arms and shoved her. There was a long scratch on Bales left arm.

Mrs. Stahl told officers the confrontation was started by Bales.

Both women had witnesses to back up their versions, which resulted in harassment charges for each of them.
