A Tamaqua man was incarcerated in the Schuylkill County Prison, Pottsville, on Saturday, Sept. 24, following a domestic dispute.

Borough police were dispatched to 27 N. Railroad St. at 7 p.m. Saturday for a reported domestic violence call in progress.On scene the officers spoke with Mary Becker, who said she was tired of being hurt by her husband, Henry Edward Becker. She claimed he had been drinking all day, verbally assaulting her, then pushing and grabbing her repeatedly. At one point, he was striking her and hurt her right hand, she said.He also reportedly threatened to kill her and her family.Becker was taken in to custody and arraigned on charges of simple assault, simple assault with physical menace, making terroristic threats and harassment. Bail was set at $15,000.Unable to post bond, Becker was lodged in the county jail.
