Dear Editor
I will never read your newspaper again and I will list the three reasons.
1) I get so sick and tired of seeing photos and reading stories about Toys for Tots. When I was a child my parents worked and bought us our gifts, people today are lazy, on welfare and want handouts. People are too lazy to work.
2) You have many reporters, yet I am so sick of seeing almost every story and photo in your paper is by Andrew Leibenguth. You should rename your newspaper, The Daily Andrew Leibenguth. You worship him like God.
3) Finally, every Saturday you have in letters to the editor. I am so sick and tired of the same person I remain Robert (Ski) Sieputuski, from Summit Hill, explaining about something every week. I am so sick of his complaining. If he thinks he is so perfect, why doesn't he run for president. All he does is complain. Why doesn't he get a life.

Ms. Moyer,
You may never get this since you said that you will never read the newspaper again but it makes me feel better to write it.
There are many people who i feel DO take advantage of the welfare system and the Salvation Army and the Toys for Tots but not everyone is taking advantage of them. What about those who have lost their homes due to fire or flooding? Some of these families are working families that receive no help from the government but in a trying time they may need to reach out for some assistanace.
In my opinion the Toys for Tots is about the children rather than the parents. Sure it helps out the parents but to me, a donater to Toys for Tots, it is more about the smile on the childs face when they open that toy on Christmas. That toy may be the only thing they see on Christmas day.
I have 2 daughters one of which just had brain surgery in October. My family is very fortunate that we have health insurance that covered her surgery but there are many families that are not as fortunate. There are many families out there like ours where both parents work but becasue of meical bills they are still unable to make ends meet. I dont feel these people are looking for handouts or are taking advantage of anyone.
Something you may want to do in the future is think about EVERYONE and how their situations may not all be the same before you go and write such hateful words in the newspaper. Those who donate their time to Toys for Tots or the Salvation Army do not receive the appreciation that they deserve. They do a lot for the community and I am sure that you at one point or another have received a "gift" from these indididuals (ex. the Thansksgiving Dinner you had at the Salvation Army, even though you didnt enjoy it.) You may not have been grateful for your "gift" but there are many who are very grateful every year for these organizations and more.
