Two 17-year-old Tamaqua females were cited after police received a report of three girls engaged in a fight on Monday evening.
Officers were dispatched to Center Street at 7:42 p.m. where they were met with a stream of profanities being screamed at them by one of the teens. After she refused to heed their requests to calm down the teen was taken into custody and officers interviewed the other participants.
The girls were advised to avoid each other in the future and to immediately leave the area. One of the two not in custody refused officers advice and was then also taken into custody.
Both of the girls were cited for disorderly conduct and released to their parents/foster parents.
