A Monroe County man was jailed for a domestic assault incident and also injuring two police officers. Pocono Mountain Regional police said the incident occurred about 3:23 a.m. on Nov. 9 at 4401 Cedar Drive in Long Pond.

Police responded to the above-stated address for a reported domestic disturbance. Upon arrival officers observed a female with physical injuries. As a result officers attempted to place under arrest Howard A. Brown, of that address, for simple assault.

While attempting to take Brown into custody he tried to escape by kicking and injuring two officers. Brown was then subdued and placed in the county prison on charges of aggravated and simple assault and related offenses.

One officer sustained a minor injury while the other was taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for treatment and then released.
