State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on three crashes investigated by troopers this week on Schuylkill County roadways.

A crash occurred about 10:26 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9, along SR61 at the 3 C's restaurant in West Brunswick Township. Troopers said Teresa Reppy, 77, of Orwigsburg, was southbound in a 2002 Lincoln Town Car in the parking lot of the restaurant. She began to enter the road in an attempt to do a U-turn and cross the southbound lanes to head north.

She crossed the lanes and entered the northbound lanes where her car was struck by a 2003 Freightliner tractor with trailer operated by Louis Venezia Jr., 50, of Howell, N.J.

Upon impact the Lincoln turned clockwise about 90 degrees and came to rest in the left lane. The truck continued north a distance before stopping.

Reppy, her passenger, William Reppy III, 80, same address, and Venezia were all not injured. The Lincoln had to be towed from the scene. The truck sustained minor damages, troopers noted.

Troopers investigated another crash on Wednesday, about 10:59 p.m., along SR61 in North Manheim Township. Troopers said Evan M. Bortner, 20, of Auburn, was driving a 2011 Toyota 4Runner northbound when a deer entered the road in front of him. Bortner was unable to avoid hitting the deer and hit it with the front end. Bortner was not injured.

Troopers investigated a crash on Monday, Nov. 7, along Sweet Arrow Lake Road, in Wayne Township. Troopers said a 17-year-old male from Pine Grove was operating a 2003 Honda Pilot eastbound about 9 p.m. when he encountered a right curve.

Troopers said he was going too fast to negotiate the curve and the vehicle began to "sideslip." The teen oversteered to the right which cause the Pilot to collided head-on with a telephone along the berm.

The teen and his two passengers, both males ages 17 and 16, also from Pine Grove, were not injured.

Troopers cited the teen for driving a vehicle at an (un) safe speed.
