Two persons were injured Wednesday night when involved in a single car crash along SR443 in East Brunswick Township, Schuylkill County. The crash occurred at 10:10 p.m. as a couple was traveling and the male driver, for some unknown reason, lost control. The vehicle reportedly struck a set of guardrails then rolled back onto the highway coming to rest on its roof. The male driver was treated at the scene by members of the New Ringgold ambulance before being transported to St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital, Coaldale. The female occupant refused medical treatment at the scene. Responding was the Community Fire Company of New Ringgold and members of the West Penn Fire Co. No. 1. The three lane highway was reduced to one lane at the scene of the crash by West Penn Fire Police. State police at Frackville are investigating the incident.
