Carbon County Environmental Education Center will devote an afternoon to reducing waste, and rethinking uses for old items. The program, "Reduce, Re-Use, Recycle" will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13.

Participant should bring old scissors for sharpening, gently used shoes for charity and your own re-use ideas to share.

CCEEC is located at the west end of Mauch Chunk Lake Park, just outside of Jim Thorpe, along the Lentz Trail highway.
