West Penn township proudly boasts of its community grove as being one of the most beautiful in the area and rightfully so. On holidays such as this weekend it is the hub of gathering for many of the residents who enjoy the scenic view, the children who play on several athletic fields and playground equipment and picnicking under several pavilions throughout the grove. But not this year. The grove is closed. The site has been decimated by the recent ravaging storms that have plagued the region. This pavilion was leveled when a large pine tree, toppled by high winds, landed on the roof.
