Lauren Daderko, Anaheim, Calif. and Christopher Buscher have announced their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Louisa Sarge and Jack Daderko of the Panther Valley. She graduated from Panther Valley High School in 1994. She has a bachelor of science degree in kinesiology from Pennsylvania State University and is currently pursuing a master's degree in addiction science and counseling from Chapman University.She is a board certified and licensed interventionist in California and is the owner and CEO of Body Rehab.The prospective bridegroom is the son of Linda and Terry Buscher of the Oak Park section of Chicago, Ill. He graduated from River Forrest High School in 1993. He has a degree in science from Lincoln College, Lincoln, Ill.Currently deployed in Afghanistan, Corporal Buscher is serving in the United States Army.Buscher proposed after a helicopter ride to the Catalina Islands in the Pacific Ocean. After a day of zip lining the island cliffs, the couple was later surprised by family and friends at a sunset dinner party in Newport Beach.A summer 2012 Chicago skyline wedding is currently being planned.
