94th annual Lehighton High School Choral Concert presented

Lehighton High School Choruses on Sunday afternoon presented the 94th Annual Spring Choral Concert at the high school. The theme was, "Broadway Bash," and the concert featured the Concert Choir, Varsity Voices, Music Express, Women's Choir, Men's Choir, Girl's Sextet, and Barbarshop Quartet.

The stage backdrop featured playbills from a variety of Broadway shows, which only added to the ambience. There was also lighting that made the audience feel as if they were at a true Broadway production.The concert opened with the Concert Choir singing "Festival Santus," and the second song featured a solo by Kirk Arner, singing, "Not While I'm Around." In the selection, "Masquerade," a selection from "Phantom of the Opera" the choir faced the backdrop and then turned around to sing with mardi gras masks when they turned around to sing.The Concert Choir also sang, "Electricity," with Michael Perkins performing a solo and "Walk in Jerusalem."The Women's Choir sang, "She's In Love," from, "The Little Mermaid." Soloists were Elyse Kistler and Catherine Varley.Varsity Voices were next to take the stage, performing, "I Dreamed A Dream" from "Los Miserables," with soloists, Kristen Campbell, Samantha Cerimele and Evy Heckman. They also performed "I've Never Been in Love Before," from "Guys and Dolls."The Men's Choir offered, "Wheels of a Dream."The Girl's Sextet singing, "It's Raining on Prom Night," from "Grease," with soloists, Samantha Cerimele and Catherine Varley.The Barbershop Augmented Quartet sang, "Come Fly With Me," from "Come Fly Away," and "I'm Yours," with Daniel Edmonds on guitar and soloists, Daniel Edmonds and Daniel Clemson.Music Express Show Choir performed a "Hair" medley from "Hair," with soloist Hanna Bartron. The group also performed, "Rock of Ages" from "Rock of Ages," with soloists Alyssa Huntington, Daniel Clemson and Arthur Terembula. They also performed "Ladies Choice" and "Good Morning Baltimore, both from "Hairspray, with soloists, Brianna Oswald, Schyler Cordova, and Evy Heckman and "C'Mon Everybody," from "All Shook Up, with soloists Daniel Edmonds. The final two selections by Music Express, "Can't Help Falling in Love," from "All Shook Up," with soloist Kirk Arner; and "You Can't Stop the Beat" from "Hairspray," with soloist Samantha Cerimele.The Concert Choir then sang selections from Disney with soloists, Jessica Pell, Alyssa Huntington, Kirk Arner and Catherine Varley; and the final song was the senior farewell song, "If We Hold On Together."
