A Carbon County man was arrested for default in required appearance when he failed to report to the county prison in Nesquehoning to begin a jail term imposed by a county judge.
Nesquehoning police arrested Brett Anthony Montanari, 22, of 745 E. James St., Lehighton. Officer Timothy Wuttke filed the charges on information received from officials at the prison.
Montanari was sentenced by Senior Judge Richard W. Webb to serve three to six months in prison for a probation violation. He was to report on April 1 but did not.
He was picked up on a bench warrant on April 13 by the sheriff's department and placed in the prison. Prison officials then notified Wuttke who filed the charge.
