Pleasant Valley graduate and current Wilkes University freshman Jordan Borger was recently named to the All-Freedom Conference Softball Second Team.

Borger, who made it as a utility player, led the Lady Colonels and was seventh in the conference with a .384 batting average, posting a team-leading 33 hits in 29 games this season. Her 11 doubles also led the team and was second in the Freedom, also posting team-highs with 50 total bases, a .581 slugging percentage, and a .439 on-base percentage.

Seeing time both behind the plate and at third, Borger had 10 multi-hit games, including four games with three hits, and had six multi-RBI games. She also had the team's longest individual hit streak with nine games, and threw four runners out attempting to steal.

Named the conference's player of the week back on March 28 after going 6-for-7 with two doubles, a homerun, three RBI and four runs scored, she continued playing strong against Freedom opponents, batting .465 with a .727 slugging percentage in 14 conference games.
