Family Promise Variety Show will feature some of the best local entertainment in the area. The variety show, produced by John Drury, will be presented at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 7.

Proceeds from the show will benefit Family Promise, a nonprofit organization that provides temporary shelter, meals and fellowship to meet the basic needs of families with children without permanent housing in Carbon County.For more information, call John Drury, at (570) 325-4436 or email

There will be singers, musicians, comedy, singing groups and instrumentalists appearing in the event.Several of the supporting local churches will be offering crafts, home made baked goods, and there will be an opportunity to receive a medical assessment.
