Panther Valley Public Library holds egg hunt

The Panther Valley Public Library will hold a free Easter egg hunt for children who live in Coaldale, Lansford, Nesquehoning and Summit Hill at 1 p.m. April 9. Children must be registered by April 4 by calling (570) 645-3780. Staff will need the need child's name, address, age and town of residence.

The hunt is divided into three age groups: 2-4, 5-8 and 9-10.The library is also holding a food drive for the local food pantries throughout April.The library is at 117 E. Bertsch St., Lansford. Library hours are: Mondays: 3:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.; Tuesdays: 9 a.m. to noon and 3:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.; Wednesdays: 3:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.; Thursdays: 5 p.m.-8 p.m. There is no cost for a library card.
