A son, Samuel Jacob Spang, was born on Dec. 31, 2010 at St. Luke's Allentown Campus to Sean and Jodie Gigliotti Spang of Jim Thorpe.

He weighed 7 pounds and measured 21 inches long.The new baby was welcomed home by his older siblings, Gunnar, 11, and Nolan, 9.Maternal grandparents are Robert and Deborah Gigliotti of Summit Hill.Paternal grandparents are Thomas and Patricia Spang of Center Valley, Pa.Maternal great-grandmother is Rita Gigliotti of Nesquehoning.
