State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating a four-vehicle, rear-end type crash about 5:33 p.m. on Friday, March 18, along SR443 at the intersection with Harvey Drive, in Washington Township, Schuylkill County.

Troopers said the vehicles were all eastbound. Troopers said Dana Walker, 31, of Pine Grove, was stopoped waiting to turn left into Harvey Drive with Horace D. Fisher Jr., 90, of Pine Grove, was stopped behind him and Michael R. Lenker, 19, of Williamstown, slowing down to stop behind Lenker.Trooeprs said Dustin E. Long, 29, of Lebanon, was approaching, took is eyes off the road, and then noticed the traffic ahead of him. He attempted to swerve to avoid a collision but could not.The front of Long's 1991 Toyota Celica hit the rear of Lenker's 1998 Volkeswagen Jetta pushing it into the rear of Fisher's 2000 Buick LeSabre which then it the rear of Walker's 2003 Chrysler Town & Country.Fisher and a passsenger with Lenker, Cassie L. Allen, 19, of Tremont, were injured and taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-E. Norwegian St., Pottsville.Troopers cited Long for careless driving.
