Driver safety

The Outreach Committee of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, Lansford, will sponsor a driver safety course on Saturdays, April 2 and 9, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the church hall.

The class will be presented by the A.A.R.P. and will include eight-hours of instructions presented in two four-hour sessions.

The class is designed for those attending for the first time and those desiring a more in-depth presentation.

Those 50 and older are encouraged to attend the classroom-only course.

Drivers completing the course will receive a certificate that entitles them to a rate reduction on their automobile insurance.

Parish mission

St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, Lansford, will hold a Parish Mission from Sunday through Tuesday, March 20-22.

The Sisters of Reparation to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus will present the mission on "St. Faustian and the Message of the Divine Mercy."

Sunday's service will begin at 6 p.m. on "The Message of the Divine Mercy." On Monday, the "Holiness of Life" will be presented at 6:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, the "Sacramental Life" will be presented at 6:30 p.m.

There will also be the recitation of the Chaplet of Mercy; veneration of a first class Relic of Saint Faustina; Eucharistic exposition, benediction and confession.

Summit Hill

Registration open

The Winnie-the-Pooh Preschool, which is sponsored by the Hope of Christ Presbyterian Church, Summit Hill, is accepting registrations.

Parents who would like to enroll their child in the program can call the school, 645-4238, between the hours of 9-11:30 a.m. and 12:30-3 p.m.

Scripture sharing

The weekly scripture sharing sessions sponsored by St. Joseph Catholic Church, Summit Hill, will be held tonight at 7 o'clock in the parish rectory.

Nesquehoning

Meed's church

A community dinner in Nesquehoning will be held on, Wednesday, March 30, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Meed's Church.

Senior Boxes will be distributed on Friday, April 1, at 10 a.m. to noon.

All seniors are reminded that sign ups will be held at this pick up, previous and new.

Please bring proper paper work that is ID and proof of income.
