The engagement of MaryAnn Storm-Dait, Lehighton, to Hubert "Bob" Alward, also of Lehighton, has been announced by her mother, Mary S. Storm, Lehighton, and her sons, Joseph and Matthew Dait.

The bride-to-be is also the daughter of the late Lester G. Storm. She is a 1981 graduate of Lehighton Area High School and the Williamsport Hospital School of Nursing. She earned an associate degree in business management from

L.C.C.C.She is currently employed by Northampton County at Gracedale Nursing Home.The prospective bridegroom is the son of the late Hubert and Jean Alward, Lehighton.He is a 1977 graduate of Lehighton Area High School and served in the United States Marine Corps from 1977 to 1981. He is a full-time employee of Spectrum Resources in Bethlehem; and is a part-time employee of the TIMES NEWS in the distribution department.A wedding is planned for Sept. 10 of this year.
