Fire companies from throughout eastern Schuylkill County responded to a structure fire Tuesday morning at the Pennsylvania Wax Corporation along Walnut street in the village of Tuscarora, Schuylkill Township. The fire was first reported just after 8 a.m. when flames in the plant entered the ceiling area and then onto the roof of the one story masonry structure. A firefighting crew made up of plant employees is being credited with saving the structure holding down the fire until fire companies arrived on scene. Firefighters utilized two aerial trucks to reached the flames on the roof. No injuries were reported in the incident. Fire companies from Tuscarora, Tamaqua, Coaldale, Pottsville and Schuylkill Township responded to the scene as well as the Tamaqua ambulance.
