The Slatington Lions Club held its annual Steak Fry on Saturday. This is a much anticipated event that has been ongoing since 1988 and attracts hundreds of people each year. This year, more than 200 steaks were grilled to accommodate the crowd.

All of the proceeds, this year, go to the Venture Group, an umbrella organization that brings together many non-profit and profit groups to work on a community project.This year's project is the Slate restroom and meeting room at the Slatington Trailhead.
