A township official in Schuylkill County has been charged with harassment.

State police at Frackville charged Edward Shamany, 70, of Sheppton, for an incident that occurred at the East Union Township building located at 10 E. Elm St., Sheppton. Shamany is a supervisor in the township.He is accused of harassing Joanna Keim, 26, of Weston, who is secretary-treasurer of the township sewer authority. The incident occurred on June 9 about 8:30 a.m., troopers said.No other details concerning the incident was released by troopers.
