The driver involved in a one vehicle crash in Monroe County was injured.

State police at Lehighton said the crash occurred about 12:52 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, along SR209, near Gilbert Rd., in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said Adam S. Perdue, 24, of Kunkletown, was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt northbound when, for unknown reasons, he drove off the right side of the road. The car struck a speed limit sign, traveled down a small ditch, and then struck a tree head-on.

Perdue was taken by West End ambulance to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for treatment of what troopers termed were moderate injuries. He was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
