About two dozen vehicles in Lehighton and Mahoning Township had tires slashed Friday night and into the early morning hours of Saturday.

Among the vehicles were two transport ambulances parked in the 800 block of North First Street (Mahoning Township).

Ken Barnes, chief of police in Mahoning, sad a majority of the tires slashed were on the left front of the vehicles.

In Mahoning, the vandalism mostly happened in the 800 and 900 blocks of North First Street.

In Lehighton, a lot of the damage was on North Second Street and North Third Street.
