The Western Pocono Community Library, Pilgrim's Way, Brodheadsville, is taking summer reading program participants "around the world." So far they have been to North and South America, Haiti, Antarctica and most recently to Africa, through books, crafts and storytelling. Sheila Leach, storyteller, gears everyone up for the reading of "Edward In the Jungle" by David Mcphail. Storytimes at WPCL are on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., Wednesdays at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. and on Thursdays at 1 and 6:30 p.m. The summer-long program, "One World, Many Stories" will conclude with a Parade of Nations. The children will be asked to come in costume or carry something that represents their own culture. The first parade will be on Wednesday, Aug. 17 at 1 p.m. and the second will be on Thursday, Aug. 18 at 6:30 p.m. All are invited to join in the fun.
