Eight people entered guilty pleas to criminal charges in Schuylkill County court and were sentenced by President Judge William E. Baldwin.

Angela Dawn Singh, 37, Pine Grove, was sentenced on a charge of harassment of Meredith Weaver, Pine Grove, to pay a fine of $25 and costs. She was cited by Pine Grove Det. Thomas Trotter IV.

Phillip James Gibble, 41, Girardville, was sentenced on a charge of disorderly conduct and was fined $100 and costs. He was cited by Pottsville Patrolman Michel Stank.

Rochelle Shaleen Hauze, 23, Girardville, criminal attempt to commit burglary at residence of Mary Hennessy, Girardville, by wearing a stocking mask and attempting to enter through a window, was sentenced to serve two and one-half to five years in a state correctional institution with credit for serving 61 days in the county prison and pay $50 to Criminal Justice Enhancement Account (CJEA). Hause was cited by Trooper James Cuttitta.

Jason William Moran, 34, Pottsville, was sentenced on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia was given credit for serving 80 days in the county prison and was released on probation for 12 months and pay $100 to Substance Abuse Education (SAE) fund. Moran was cited by Pottsville Patrolman Brian W. Kotzmoyer. On a second charge of possession of drug paraphernalia as cited by Pottsville Patrolman Kirk Becker, was sentenced to serve an additional six months on probation and pay $59 to CJEA.

Devin David Drey, 20, Schuylkill Haven, was sentenced on a charge of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in Pottsville to serve 23 months on probation, pay a fine of $500, pay $100 to SAE fund and $50 to CJEA. Drey was cited by Pottsville Patrolman John Mohl. On charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest received concurrent 12 months probation sentences.

Larry Battle, 60, Reading, was sentenced on a charge of possession of a controlled substance in Minersvile, to serve one to two years in a state correctional institution with credit for serving 40 days in the county prison, pay $50 to CJEA, $100 to SAE fund and make restituiton of $113 to Bethlehem Regional Lab. Battle was cited by Minersville Patrolman Ryan P.Murphy.

Lafayette Omar Johnson, Pottsville, was sentenced on three counts of delivery of a controlled substance in Pottsville, to serve two to four years in a state correctional institution, with credit for serving 113 days in the county prison, pay $200 to SAE fund, $150 to CJEA, restitution of $515 to Bethlehem Regional Lab and $30 to Pottsville Police Department Drug Task Force.

Jesse David Rhen, 24, Pine Grove, was sentenced on a charge of possession with intent to manufacture a controlled substance to be released on probation for 23 months after serving 82 days in the county prison, pay $100 to SAE fund, and $50 to CJEA. On a charge of DUI of drugs was fined $1,000 and serve a concurrent sentence of 72 hours to 12 months and receive intensive outpatient counseling. Rhen was cited by Trooper Alyssa Becker.

Each defendant must also pay court costs and a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation or parole.
