A comedy show has been organized to help the victims of recent fires in the Borough of New Philadelphia.

The show will feature the adult comedy of "Bag Lady Sue" and will be held at the Clamtown Tavern, 1000 Clamtown Road (Route 443), Clamtown, West Penn Township, on Sunday, Jan. 30 at 2:30 p.m.

The show has been organized through Mystic Ryder Productions, a Tamaqua area-based non-profit organization that coordinates motorcycle rides and other fundraisers for those in need.

Denise Koons of Mystic Ryder Productions stressed that "Bag Lady Sue" is an adult show that includes foul language and all that it entails. It is not for the meek.

"Bag Lady Sue" usually performs at biker rallies around the country. She has also performed her comedy routine in Japan.

Any adult who is offended by this type of comedy should not attend this show.

"Bag Lady Sue" is donating her performance free of charge in order to raise funds for the fire victims.

According to Koons, she has spoken with the Red Cross, and they are having the fire victim families contact her if they are interested in receiving the monies raised. The funds raised will split be split between the families who are willing to accept it. If by chance, no families want the money, the money will be donated to another local charity, she said.

For those who cannot attend the show, Mystic Ryder has established a fund has been set up for the fire victims in care of Wachovia Bank, 17 West Broad Street, Tamaqua, Pa. 18252
