Tamaqua police probe criminal mischief

Several acts of criminal mischief are under investigation by Tamaqua Police.

Bruce Jones of Clearview Crossing, Tamaqua, reportedly had the side windows of his Ford F150 pick up truck shattered on Jan. 1, while parked in the 300 block of Market Street.Someone also damaged nine shrubs owned by the South Ward Fire Company. The shrubs are located at the east edge of the company's property, acting as a buffer between a driveway and the LCCC parking lot. Total value of the damage was estimated at $387. The damage was discovered on Jan. 2.A 2000 Dodge Dakota, owned by Samantha Medley of Lafayette Street, Tamaqua, had the driver's side keyed and the rear passenger tire slashed sometime overnight Tuesday. The incident was reported at 9:50 a.m. Wednesday.The front passenger side window and windshield of a Pontiac, owned by Michael Romig of 312 Hazle St., Tamaqua, were smashed sometime Tuesday into Wednesday.Anyone with information concerning any of these incidents may call police at (570) 668-6100.
