Crashes probed, no details given

State police at Lehighton reported on two crashes investigated by troopers in recent days, but gave no details of the accidents.

Troopers said a two vehicle crash occurred on Dec. 28 about 3:45 p.m. along SR209 in Polk Township, Monroe County. Troopers identified the drivers as Jenna R. Mokshefski, 26, of Lansford, and Christine A. Sutters, 41, of Lehighton. Sutters had passengers Amanda Sutters, 15, and Samantha Dotter, 17, both of Lehighton. The report indicated Amanda Sutters sustained a minor injury. Details of how the crash occurred were not released.A crash was reported about 8:45 p.m. on Dec. 28 along SR115 in Ross Township, Monroe County. Troopers identified the drivers as Ryan T. Gower, 19, of Gilbert, and Michael J. Shook, 20, of Summit Hill, with Shelby A. Weidlick, 20, also of Summit Hill, as his passenger. Troopers indicated Weidlick sustained a minor injury in the crash. No details on how the crash occurred were given by troopers.Troopers investigated a crash about 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 2, along SR534 in Polk Township. Troopers said Joan Rossman, 48, of Albrightsville, was driving a 2007 Toyota Corolla westbound near the Carbon County line when a deer entered the road in front of her. Rossman swerved to avoid hitting the deer with her vehicle striking two signs and coming to rest on various large boulders.Troopers did not indicate if Rossman was injured.
