A young man escaped serious injury Wednesday morning after rolling his pickup truck along Lower Nis Hollow Road in Carbon County. The crash occurred just after 9 a.m. as the driver was traveling east on the ice covered roadway. The truck went onto the south berm and a snow bank rolling onto its roof. Area residents and passers-by are confused where the Mahoning and East Penn townships borders are along the roadway claiming many times there is little to no maintenance on the road possibly due to the confusion. Both township police responded to the scene. The driver of the pickup is wearing a plaid hoodie in the photograph.
