At the Dec. 5 meeting of the East Penn Township supervisors, Jai Mertz asked if he could make a presentation about what he sees from the rear of the Clair Troxell property, which is under clean-up litigation with the township.

During the Dec. 27 end-of-year meeting, he brought pictures in place of the presentation because equipment was not working. The pictures included the graffiti that was previously discussed. Supervisors accepted them without comment.Resident Joe Ehritz said the road crew has been doing a good job keeping up with potholes. He said the supervisors should appoint enough members to the various boards at the reorganization meeting in January so that meetings do not have to be cancelled for lack of a quorum.In other business:• The office will be closed Jan. 2 for the New Year holiday and will close at 4 p.m. on Jan. 3 to prepare for the reorganization meeting which is at 5 p.m.• Treasurer Susan Rhoads-Procina was authorized to fill out forms for a tax anticipation loan.• The budget was adopted with a 1-mill increase, bringing the tax rate to 7.635 mills.• Brown and Brown insurance was renewed at a premium of $46,030 and Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors' dues were paid for 2012 at a cost of $1,478.• Any supervisor, paid staff member or planning commission member may attend the PSATS convention. The registration fee of $140 will be paid by the township but must be refunded if the person does not attend.• Solicitor Jim Nanovic was authorized to respond to Bowmanstown to discuss sewer payments.
