BOYS BASKETBALL

Catasauqua-No. Lehigh

Clinging to a three-point lead at intermission, the Bulldogs pulled away in the second half for the 67-51 Colonial League win over Catasauqua.

Leading the way for the Bulldogs were Lucas Pierce (20 points, 10 rebounds) and Caleb Johnson (19 points and 12 rebounds). Josh Pristash chipped in 12 points.

LLA-Panther Valley

The Panthers had to withstand a furious late rally from Lincoln Leadership Academy to pick up a 66-62 non-league win.

Five players reached double figures for the Panthers in the well-rounded effort as Jake Szczecina had 13 points, Nate Mathewson and Stephen Romanchik had 12 each, and Thad Ogozalek and Nick McArdle both chipped in 10.

Xavier Romero was on fire for the Lions as he poured in a game-high 29 points, including six treys.

Panther Valley won the JV game, 46-38.

Blue Mountain used a huge third quarter to pull out a 58-43 Schuylkill League win over Tamaqua.

The Eagles' Kyle Laughlin scored 12 of his game-high 22 points in the third quarter as Blue Mountain outscored Tamaqua 22-6 to erase a three-point halftime deficit.

Tamaqua (2-4) was led in scoring by Jake Fegley and Brett Kosciolek with 10 points apiece.
