A Missouri firm has purchased Jack Frost/Big Boulder ski resorts, Blakeslee, from Blue Ridge Real Estate Company for $9 million.

Peak Resorts Inc., of Wildwood, Mo. has operated the resorts since 2005."We're really excited to finally have this deal done. They are really important places to us, and we're thrilled to have them," said Peak Resorts Chief Operating Officer Jesse Boyd. The sale of Jack Frost/Big Boulder, formerly owned by Blue Ridge Real Estate, was finalized on Friday, Dec. 16, Boyd said, and made public Monday. He said Peak Resorts' "long term lease was for 30 years, but our goal all along was to obtain them long term."Visitors can look forward to continuity."We've always operated them like we own them, so there won't be any changes," Boyd said.Repeated efforts to reach Blue Ridge Real Estate were unsuccessful as of early Tuesday.Peak Resorts operates 12 ski areas, including Attitash, Crotched Mountain and Wildcat in New Hampshire; Boston Mills/Brandy Wine and Mad River Mountain in Ohio; Hidden Valley and Snow Creek in Missouri; Paoli Peaks in Indiana; and its flagship property, Mount Snow, Vermont.
