Library, historical society holds open house, art show

Visitors flocked to the old red brick church building at 117-119 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, on Sunday for the annual Panther Valley Public Library and Lansford Historical Society open house and art show.

Upstairs in the Historical Society's museum, visitors enjoyed hot chocolate and homemade goodies as they perused a new display of military uniforms and antique dolls.Downstairs, visitors also enjoyed holiday punch and an array of home baked cookies and cupcakes as they toured displays of original art work by Panther Valley Elementary School students, under the direction of art teacher Tanya Lilly. The highlight of the art show was a painting of the library/Historical Society building done by Panther Valley High School student Judy Lin.
