A group of Lansford Alive members on Thuirsday night traveled around town, oohing and aahing at the dazzling display of Christmas decorations bedecking borough homes. Deciding which homes best exemplified the six categories Traditional (best decoration associated with the holiday season), Lighting (the spirit of the holiday season with a diosplay of lights), Whimsical Display (best display seen through the eyes of a child), Crativity (best use of imagination, non-traditional), Theme, and Holiday Neighbors (two or more homes decorated in a row).
Businessman Bob Silver, police officer Chris Ondrus, Lansford-Coaldale Joint Water Authority employee Susan Solt, council president Adam Webber and Lansford Alive project organizer Renee Slakoper had a tough time choosing among the bright, colorful displays. Some categories had more two winners.
The winner in each category recieved a $25 gift certificate good at any Lansford Alive business.
