Replacing traffic lights

Workers had their hands full Friday morning when they had the task of replacing several traffic lights which were torn from their bases overnight when struck by a car. The lights at the intersection of SR248 and SR873 in Lehigh Township were knocked down by a female motorist in the early morning hours. Temporary stop signs were put in place while workers directed traffic as others attempted to string wire to activate temporary traffic lights. Township police investigated the incident.
