Kutztown Tournament

Northwestern outscored Kutztown in all four quarters to record a 56-23 victory in the semifinals of the Kutztown Tip-Off Tournament.

With the win, the Tigers advance to tomorrow's night Tournament Championship against Wilson (a 69-43 winner of Lincoln Leadership Academy) at 7:30 p.m.

Tyler Richardson knocked down three three-pointers and led Northwestern with a game-high 13 points.

For Kutztown, Andrew Giernia netted 11 points in the loss.

Marian-New Hope ACS

Marian started its season off in dominant fashion with a 66-16 trouncing of New Hope Academy Charter School in the semifinals of the Lourdes Tip-Off Tournament.

The Fillies led 38-4 at halftime and were paced by 15-point efforts from Kaysi McLaughlin and Danielle Tristani.

Malaysha Green paced New Hope Academy Charter School with seven points.

The Fillies will advance to play host Lourdes Regional (a 69-23 winner over Bellfonte) in tonight's Tournament Championship at 6:30 p.m.

Berks Catholic needed overtime on opening night to defeat Northern Lehigh 46-44 in the semifinals of the Fleetwood Tip-Off Tournament.

Marie Rossignoli scored 19 points to lead Berks Catholic.

For Northern Lehigh, Aimee Oertner scored half of her team's points by draining 10 field goals for a game-high 22 points.

Berks Catholic cruised to a 53-15 victory in the JV contest.

Northampton got off to a strong start with a 17-5 first quarter run, en route to a 46-31 season-opening victory over Pleasant Valley.

Steph Bragg and Alesha Marcks both poured in 12 points apiece to lead Northampton.

For Pleasant Valley, Kelecia Harris scored a game-high 17 points in the loss.

In the JV game, Pleasant Valley posted a 36-33 victory.
