Brian Buzik will lead the 9:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday, Aug. 28, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Summit Hill. This will be the last week for the summer worship schedule.
Also on Sunday, the worship and music committee of the church will meet immediately after the worship service.
Beginning next weekend, Sept. 4, the services will return to their 10:30 a.m. starting time. The Sunday school program will have its initial session at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 11.
The schedule of ministers who will preside at the services includes: Sept. 4, the Rev. Roy H. Koehler; Sept. 11, the Rev. Richard L. Hinkle, retired pastor from Weatherly; Sept. 18, the Rev. John J. Deisinger, retired from Allentown; and Sept. 25, the Rev. Walter H. Wagner, retired pastor from Bethlehem.
Hope of Christ
The worship service for the Hope of Christ Presbyterian Church, Summit Hill, on Sunday, Aug. 28, will begin at 9:30 a.m.
Summit Hill residents who are interested in participating in the 2011 General Election on Nov. 8 have until Oct. 7 to become eligible through registration.

The weekly scripture sharing program at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Summit Hill, has been moved to Wednesday nights at 7 o'clock in the rectory, beginning Sept. 7.
Participants will be examining the changes to the liturgy due to the incorporation of the 3rd Edition of the Roman Missal (English Translation) on the First Sunday of Advent (Nov. 26-27).
Registration for the upcoming CCD program for public school students of the Catholic parishes of the Panther Valley (grades 1-8) will be held on Saturday, Sept. 17, from 9 a.m. to noon in St. Joseph Church, Summit Hill; and on Sunday, Sept. 18, from 8 a.m. to noon in St. Katharine Drexel Church, Lansford. Parents are reminded to enroll their child(ren) on these dates in order to avoid a late registration fee.
The classes will begin Sunday,Sept. 25.
