A Schuylkill County man has been charged with assaulting his mother by shooting her with a paintball gun.
State police at Frackville identified the suspect as Todd Singley Jr., of Zion Grove.
The incident occurred about 5:10 a.m. on Aug. 21 at Singley's Grove off Creek Road in East Union Township. Troopers said Singley shot his mother, Kelly Singley, striking her in the throat and face.
He was taken into custody and charged with simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and a summary violation of discharging a paintball gun. He was arraigned by duty District Judge Stephen Bayer, of Tamaqua, and released on unsecured bail.
