Marian opened its season with a victory while Tamaqua earned a split in a tri-match.

Marian played host to Weatherly and started out the season with a dominating 310-423 Schuylkill League win.

Medalist honors went to the Colts' Mike Gottstein, who shot a one-over-par 73. Josh Green and Mark Postupack followed with identical 78s.

The Wreckers' Josh Reiner led his team with a 98.

Tamaqua opened the regular season by splitting with Lourdes Regional and Pottsville in Schuylkill League action.

The Blue Raiders edged Lourdes by a score of 377-439 while they were knocked off by Pottsville, 377-323.

The Tides' Ryan Miske grabbed medalist honors with a match-low 78.

Mike Weinert carded a Blue Raiders' best score of 86.
