Pleasant Valley student raves about HOBY experience

I had the best time. We visited the state capitol, which was beautiful. We got to make our own laws," she said. One of the WPWC members asked her if they got any of them passed. She laughed and said no because they couldn't agree on anything. Not unlike real lawmakers, another member laughed.Georgeanne plans on going back next year because "I absolutely loved it. I thank you all so much for giving me this opportunity. It was just the best."She added that she believes the experience has given her more confidence and helped her become a little more outgoing.Georgeanne wants to be a veterinarian and works at Country Junction in the pet department. Dr. Renny Shoo is her mentor. She is the daughter of Christopher and Barbara Tokar of Effort."It was a wonderful experience, it really helped build her self esteem. She is looking forward to attending the 2012 meeting as an alumni," says her mother.
