Kinsley's ShopRite, Rt. 209, Brodheadsville, and the American Cancer Society of Monroe County are working together to increase awareness of cancer prevention and to raise money for cancer research, education, advocacy and patient services by holding its 17th Annual Grocer's Fight Against Cancer Day on Tuesday, Aug. 9 from 6 a.m.-12 a.m.

The Kinsley Family will be donating 5 percent of this day's sales to the Monroe County Unit of the American Cancer Society in support of their mission to eliminate cancer. Last year the Kinsley Family donated $15,000. Their goal this year is $16,000.

Kinsley's will be holding a great one-day sale. There will be fun for the entire family including face painting, balloon animals and cookie decorating. Raffles, great food and live entertainment are included.

WSBG will be doing a live broadcast and Safe Auto in conjunction with Liberty Mutual Insurance will be window etching cars.

Raffle items include a Louisville Slugger autographed by Phillies' Catcher Carlos Ruiz, two sets of tickets to the Aug. 23 game against the Mets, a 19" LCD TV, patio set, microwave, gift certificates and more.

Join Kinsley's in the fight against cancer.
