Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on two arrests made by officers.
On Saturday, July 30, about 4:25 p.m. officers were dispatched to the area of SR115, near George Drive, in Blakeslee, for a vehicle in a ditch. On scene officers made contact with the driver, identified as Maria Cucinotta-Andreoli, 44, of Blakeslee. She was found to be under the influence.
She refused to submit to field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. She was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test. A charge of driving under the influence (DUI) is pending the test results, police added.
On Friday, July 29, about 9:36 p.m. officers on foot patrol at the parking lot of Pocono Rug Company, located along SR611 in Mt. Pocono, observed two suspicious juveniles walking behind a dumpster.
Officers spoke with the two. Through an investigation it was determined that one of the juveniles, a 17-year-old male, had in his possession two zip lock baggies containing powdered cocaine. He was also under the influence of alcohol.
A complaint will be filed by the Monroe County Juvenile Probation Office, police said.
