An elderly driver was cited following a one vehicle crash in Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Walter S. Neiswender, 72, of Coal Township, Northumberland County, was driving a 1988 Chevrolet van southbound on Valley Road, in Cass Township, about 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 2, when it went onto the berm.The van sturck a utility pole and several large rocks in front of 1138 Valley Road. The van came to rest along the berm.Neiswender and two passengers, Helen Neiswender, 55, and Micaela Riley, 18, all sustained minor injuries and were taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, to be evaluated, troopers said.The van had to be towed from the scene.Troopers added that Neiswender was cited for causing the accident.
