First Steps, a support group for mothers, will have its monthly meeting on Wednesday, May 4, at the Primitive Methodist Church, 55 Hunter St., Tamaqua. The meeting will be held in the church social room from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Participants will learn how to make decorative candle holders.
The sessions are free and open to the public. Child care for all ages will be provided free of charge. New members and volunteers are welcome.

Two community Easter egg hunts scheduled for last Saturday have been rescheduled for this weekend.
The Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce egg hunt will be held this Saturday, at 10 a.m., at Depot Square Park. This event is open to toddlers to children up to the age of 10.
The North and Middle Ward Playground Association has rescheduled its event for this Saturday, at 2 p.m. The hunt will be held at the playground, on Washington Street, for children up to the age of 12.
Class of 1953
The Tamaqua Class of 1953 will hold its annual picnic reunion on June 25 at Leiby's Grove in the Lewistown Valley.
Everyone who was a member of the class is welcome to attend.

The Rev. Kevin Roberts will officiate at two worship services this Easter Sunday. The first will be held at 7 a.m. at Sky View Memorial park in Hometown, while the second will be at 1030 a.m. in Bethany evangelical Congregational Church. Sunday school for all ages is held at 9:30 a.m. and a breakfast will be held, at the church, at 8 a.m.
Activities for next week will include: Tuesday, prayer time begins at 8:30 a.m.; Wednesday, GriefShare, adult Bible study and TYM meet at 6:30 p.m.; Friday, small group meeting at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Musician rehearsal at 9 a.m., praise practice at 9:30 a.m., quilters meet at 11 a.m. and "A Day Apart Women's event will be held in Reading, beginning at 9 a.m.
The Rev. Sunny Stock will officiate at the 10:45 a.m. worship service this Easter Sunday in Zion Church in the Lewistown Valley. The service will include Holy Communion. Sunday school classes will be held at 9:30 a.m.
The Christ/Zion Men will enact a drama this Friday, at 7 p.m., in Zion social hall. The drama is entitled "What Really happened the Night Jesus Was Betrayed."
Fitness for Friends, a community exercise class, will resume sessions on April 28, at 6 p.m., in the social hall.
The Rev. Brian Reading will officiate at the 10:25 a.m. worship service this Easter Sunday in Calvary evangelical United Methodist Church. Sunday school classes meet at 9:15 a.m.
An hour of praise and prayer will be held next Wednesday, at 7 p.m.
