Museum trip slated

The Tamaqua Art Gallery is sponsoring a trip to the Philadelphia Museum of Art on May 21. Participants will be viewing a specialexhibit,"Paris Through the Window," created by Marc Chagall and his circle. The exhibit is on view in conjunction with the Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts.

Chagall and a number of artists from throughout the world establishedstudios in a vibrant area of Paris, known as Montparnesse, in the early half of the twentieth century. This exhibit showcases paintings and sculptures from that group of emigre artists, with a particular focus on the paintings Chagall completed between 1910 and 1920.Transportation will leave from the Tamaqua Public Library, 30 S. Railroad St., at 8 a.m. and return at approximately7 p.m. Cost includestransportation, a special guided tour of the exhibit, and admission to the Philadelphia Museum of Art and Perleman Building.For more information, or to reserve a seat, call (570) 668-1880.
